That was totally incorrect.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) states that you cannot be denied coverage if you have not had a TOTAL LAPSE of more the 62 days (basically TWO months) within the last 18 months. In the majority of cases COBRA does not allow a lapse.
COBRA + HIPAA is the Romney Plan — we have those already and (trust me) those are expensive.
