This is the most concise post I’ve seen illuminating on the racism of the (current candidates of the) GOP. Even looking at conservative televangelists, or Fox News anchors could give you even MORE examples.
Conservative = pro-white man and anti everybody else. Period.
Sure there are a lot of republican/GOP members who are not racist. Obviously it isn’t fair to say that the entire GOP is a “racist party”. However, the fact that these candidates use these stances to garner support is indicative of
- A) (hopefully) how out of touch they are with the (majority of?) their constituents &
- B) how racist their core group of supporters are that they and the media appeal to them so openly and without remorse.
Both points are an embarrassment to both the party itself as well as to the country.
